One of the most requested features from Japan has arrived to the Global version of One Piece Treasure Cruise. The 1st year anniversary of Treasure Cruise starts with a bang thanks to the arrival of the special Princess Turtle stage. This booster grants over 260,000 experience to the same type units and 175,000 otherwise. However, such a meaty reward can’t be given without some challenge, so this encounter is a bit more complicated than your normal Turtle Time.

Level Overview:

Total Stages: 5

Special Conditions: None

If you already thought it was hard to break the Elder Turtle’s defense, you are going to have a really hard time in this dungeon. To make the dungeon easier, it’s optimal to bring different units with skills that bypass the Turtles’ defense. The general idea is to stall on Stages 1 and 2, and then unleash all your specials during the final three stages.

Stage 1/5:

HP

ATK

Special

Daimyo Turtle (5)

20

1,000

N/A

This stage is ideal for stalling. Kill 1-2 of those turtles before they attack and stall as much as you can, using the 3 remaining turtles. Remember to attack with a unit with a 4 hit combo so the Turtles last longer!

Stage 2/5:

HP

ATK

Special

Daimyo Turtle (3)

20

1,000

N/A

Elder Turtle (2)

~55

4,500

N/A

Did you get the Secret Encounter in Stage 1 and couldn’t stall? No problem. Stage 2 will do the trick. Get rid of the 2 Elder Turtles before they attack and stall on the Teen Turtles. Once you have all your CDs ready, kill them and go to the next stage.

Stage 3/5:

HP

ATK

Special

Elder Turtle (1)

Daimyo Turtle (2)

Stage 4/5:

Princess Turtle (1)

~12,000

20,000

- She has 500,000 defense

So far, the Princess Turtle holds the highest defense value in One Piece Treasure Cruise, and also has quite a bit of health. Not only that, but she also hits really hard, especially considering she is a booster unit. For this reason, it is recommended to stall on the previous stages. As long as you have a defense reducer or a fixed damage dealer, you shouldn’t have any problems clearing this stage. However…

- Binds a character for 2 turns in the second turn, and once again after she attacks.

…things get more complicated in the Secret Stage, since you may be forced to fight a Princess Turtle in the first or second stage, before your cooldowns are ready. How would you be able to defeat her? Well,

Recommended Units:

Before diving into our different team recommendations, we will talk about some unit types that will make your life easier.

f0015

Defense Reducers:

- Notable units: Cabin Boy Helmeppo, Shanks Black Clad Emperor, Ghost Princess Perona, Plastic Surgery Shot Sanji, Rainbow Striped Dragon, Basil Hawkins

- Why? Since the Princess Turtle has a really high defense, and most of the Princess Turtle teams aren’t focused on dealing high amounts of damage (unlike normal Turtle Time teams), it may be a bit difficult to defeat her using brute force. Reducing her defense makes defeating her much easier though. The higher is the % reduced, the better.

Fixed Damage Dealers:

- Notable units: Sanji Diable Jambe Flame, Flower Sword Vista, Dog Penguin, both the PSY and QCK version of Eneru, Tilestone, Squard, Voyage Log Nami

- Why? The units described have skills that ignore the enemy’s defense, so it’s another easy way to kill high defense enemies. The higher the damage, the better.

f0015

Health Cutters:

- Notable units: Mihawk, Whitebeard

- Why? One of the strategies used to kill a Princess Turtle is using 2 Vistas and 1 DJ Sanji (which deal 15,000 damage combined). If you don’t have Vista, but you have a Health Cutter that reduces HP by > 20%, you can use one of these specials, along with two 5,000 damage specials, in order to get the same results.

f0015

Poisoners:

- Notable units: Sir Crocodile, Krieg Poison Gas Bomb MH5, Brook Cowardly Skeleton, Prisoner Crocodile

- Why: Another type of special that ignores defense. These aren’t as fast as Fixed Damage Dealers, since the poison only triggers after the enemies turn ends, but they can still work really well. The best of those mentioned above is Sir Crocodile, the INT Striker version of Mr.0, which can be farmed in Alabasta Story Islands. For those that don’t have him, the fortnight version can do the job as well.

Team Compositions:

Double Vista Team

Vista Princess Turtle.png

Alternatives:

-Captains: If you don’t have Vista, but you have Voyage Dream Nami, you can use her instead. Using Sir Crocodile as a lead instead of a sub could work too due to the strength of his poison.

-Friend: Same as above, but there should be plenty of Vistas available for you to use.

-Subs: Any of the subs in the team recommendations work. We brought some INT ones in order to have higher health.

If you bring Crocodile as your captain, and you switch Hawkins for another unit, this should work like a really nice F2P team.

Ship Requirements: Any. However, there are some recommendations:

Marine Ship: Level 10

Dinghy: Level 10

In general, ships that boost max HP should be priorized over the ones that boost attack. The Moby Dick is an exception, since you start with half your Health. Merry Go can still be used, but just make sure you’ll have enough HP to survive everything.

Cooldown Requirements:

The lower the cooldowns of your units, the better, since the time of your runs will be directly correlated to your cooldowns.

Team Summary:

The goal of this team is to run through the island fast and reliably. The biggest problem you could face is getting the Secret Encounter in Stage 1, but even then, you should be able to survive, considering how much HP this team has.

What Could Go Wrong:

- Getting the Princess Turtle in stage 1 and not being able to survive until your cooldowns are ready.

Quick Type Team

Enel and Jozu Princess Turtle Team.png

Alternatives:

- Captains: You can switch the friend and friend captain positions. If you use Double Eneru and you get the Secret Encounter on Stage 1 you won’t be able to survive even one hit. Double Jozu, however, could work, since the team would have really high HP.

- Friend: Same as above.

- Subs: Helmeppo can be switched for your own Eneru if you have him and you aren’t already using him as a captain. You can exchange any sub here for any of the recommended units.

If you switch the Captain and Friend Captains positions, this team would be free 2 play friendly.

Ship Requirements: Any

Marine Ship: Level 10

Dinghy: Level 10

In general, ships that boost max HP should be priorized over the ones that boost attack. The Moby Dick is an exception, since you start with half your Health.

Cooldown Requirements:

- The lower the cooldowns of your units the better.

Team Summary:

- This team should be able to clear the island rather nicely, especially if Enel cooldown is at a decent level. It has enough units to clear stages 2-5 in one turn, using a combination like the following one:

STAGE 2: Dog Penguin

STAGE 3: Prisoner Crocodile

STAGE 4: Diable Jambe Sanji

STAGE 5: Eneru / Helmeppo

What Could Go Wrong:

- Facing the Princess Turtle in stage 1 could lead to your death, but that is a risk that seems to affect most if not every team.

PSY Type Team

Shanks and Garp team.png

Alternatives:

- Captains: Garp is used here in order to have some extra Health for stalling on stages 1-2. So we recommend people to use him unless they have Shanks Black Clad Emperor.

- Friend: Same as above.

- Subs: At least 3 PSY units should be brought for the extra HP, so it wouldn’t be wise to use this team if you don’t have either Kami Eneru or Squard. In case you have one, but not both of those, one can be exchanged for any of the units recommended like DJ Sanji or Dog Penguin.

Ship Requirements: Any

Marine Ship: Level 10

Dinghy: Level 10

In general, ships that boost max HP should be priorized over the ones that boost attack. The Moby Dick is an exception, since you start with half your Health.

Cooldown Requirements:

- The lower the cooldowns of your units the better.

Team Summary:

- This team should be able to clear the island without problems. Even without Squardo you should have enough specials to clear the event.

STAGE 2: Kami Eneru

STAGE 3: Ghost Princess Perona

STAGE 4: Helmeppo

STAGE 5: Shanks Black Clad Emperor

What Could Go Wrong:

- Facing the Princess Turtle in stage 1 could lead you to your death, but that is a risk that seems to affect most if not every team.
